Hey guys,
Calgary finally got some snow this week, back on Tuesday. As per usual I fell and popped my knee out (again), sprained my elbow and, as I discovered yesterday, my computer screen! I seem to have busted the LCD panel, but everything else is in full working order. My dad's helping me get this sorted out to see if we can fix it, and if not then it looks like I'm getting a new computer in April. For the time being I'm using my brother's old gaming laptop (17.8 inches...).
I'm not hauling this thing to school and back for obvious reasons (in fact, I'm never hauling a computer to school again unless it's absolutely necessary) so I'll be using my iPod Touch for most of my computer needs for the next little while since most of my time is spent on campus. I just wanted to let you guys know that because of this my posts will likely be few and far between and also very short until I can get all this nonsense sorted out.
I get to work tonight! Woo. I really don't want to work on my leg, but I really don't think I have a choice. It's only a three hour shift, but I think I'm closing on my own, which means I'll have an hour by myself so I can't sit.
This weekend is going to be paved by reading. I have to read Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, Swift's "A Modest Proposal", one of Freud's essays for my creative writing class, and Hesiod's "Theogony". It's going to be an interesting weekend.
Since I hurt my elbow I can't do archery on Sunday, so I'm taking the opportunity to go to church for once. I heard through the grapevine that all of the churches in our diocese have converted their masses from this modern garbage they've been doing for longer than I've been alive (which were the reason I hated the church) to a classic- albeit English- High Mass. I'm going to go this Sunday and see how they do, maybe I'll be more motivated to attend more often if I like what they've done with it. I suppose now would be the time to admit that I'm Catholic. I'm not going to push any beliefs here, that's not my style. I'm just here to carry on being awesome!
That's about all that I can wring out of this post, so I'm going to leave you all alone now. I hope you are all doing well!
